By using NURI you agree to what is written here. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. What NURI is
NURI reads a Korean Four Pillars (사주) chart from the date, time and place you give us, and writes about it. The calculations follow a traditional system that has been in use for a very long time. That makes them traditional, not true.
2. Who can use it
You must be 13 or older. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use NURI only with a parent or guardian's permission, and they must agree to these terms.
3. Your account
You sign in with Google. Keep that account secure — anyone who can open it can read your charts and spend your coins. Tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
One person, one account. Do not create accounts to farm the sign-up bonus.
4. Other people's birth details
You can save charts for other people. Only enter someone else's birth details if they are happy for you to do so. Do not use NURI to build profiles of people without their knowledge.
5. Coins
- Everything in NURI is free except Ask, which costs one coin per question.
- Coins are a consumable digital item. They are used up when you ask. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged, and cannot be converted back into money.
- Coins are tied to your account, not to a device.
- Refunds are handled by the app store you bought from, under that store's policy. We do not take your payment directly, so we cannot refund it directly.
- If a purchase is refunded or charged back, we may remove the matching coins.
- If an answer fails to arrive, the coin is not taken. If you believe you were charged for nothing, write to us and we will put it right.
6. Fair use of Ask
Ask is answered by an AI reading your own chart. Do not use it to generate content that is illegal, hateful, or that harasses someone. Do not try to make it act as a medical, legal or financial adviser — it will decline, and that is on purpose. We may suspend accounts that abuse it.
AI answers can be wrong. Treat them the way you would treat any other entertainment reading.
7. What we do not promise
NURI is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, that it will be free of errors, or that any reading will be accurate, useful or apply to you. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app — and in particular for any decision you make because of something you read in it.
Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
8. Our content
The writing, the artwork (including the 60 spirit illustrations) and the app itself belong to us. You may share the cards the app makes for you. You may not copy the text or artwork to build a competing product, or use it to train a machine-learning model.
9. Ending it
You can stop using NURI at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. Unused coins are not refunded when an account is closed for a breach.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use NURI after that means you accept the new version.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer in another country, you keep the protections of your own country's consumer law.
